Minda Stackelhouse's Bio:

Minda Stackelhouse has 23 years experience in the educational field.  She is a highly skilled and student-focused educational leader. Minda is a passionate leader that puts herself into the work of serving children, families, and her community. She possess a strong commitment to the development of students, staff, and providing a stimulating, safe, and motivating learning environment. Minda is a dynamic, visionary leader and a solid team player with a proven track record in collaborating with the school community, building lasting relationships with all stakeholders, increasing student academics, and maintaining excellence in education.     The most recent example of this is the work Minda has been a part of with the Oro Grande School District. Minda was a part of the team that committed themselves to re-envisioning high school as a team in the XQ Super School Challenge. Minda worked with students, community leaders, business owners, local politicians, and schools to survey over 150 people about what they would change about high school. The team is so proud of the fact that they made it into the semi-finals of the XQ challenge. What an accomplishment for the community and the school district.     Minda has led a school team to earn the distinction of becoming a Covey Lighthouse school, only one of 17 schools in the nation. She is a co-author of the Victor Elementary School District Careers Curriculum, Bridges K-16 curriculum which is used throughout the High Desert and California to help students transition into college seamlessly, and has developed an extensive leadership training program. This program was used to train current and future leaders on leadership skills, evaluating staff, organizational leadership, and professional development. In conjunction with these programs Minda has co-write multiple grants. 

Minda Stackelhouse's Experience:

  • Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Oro Grande School District

    Oversee curriculum and instruction for the Oro Grande School District, WIOA and CTE design, and professional development.

  • Executive Director of Administrative Services at Oro Grande School District

    Oversees all school administrators for the K-12 district. Focus on team building, school culture, progressive discipline, goal setting and attainment for each site, LCAP/LCFF district and site implementation . In charge of new teacher induction and administrative clear credential candidates.

  • Adjunct Professor at Brandman University

    Facilitates and mentors intern teachers and works with teachers who are pursuing their CLAD credentials.

  • Director of Curriculum and Instruction- Professional Development and Instruction at Oro Grande School District

    In charge of all new teacher and adminsitrator induction and clear credential programs. Supports K-12 curriculum and professional development. In charge of department budget and department goals. Supports LCAP and Strategic Plans for the district.

  • Asst. Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Oro Grande School District

    Oversees and supports curriculum and instruction for a K-12 school district. In charge of new teacher induction and administrative clear credential candidates. Supports monitoring and writing of district LCAP.

  • Asst. Superintendent of Student Services at Excelsior Public Charter Schools

    Responsible for developing a partnership with Brandman University in which college classes were offered to Excelsior students. Handled public relations and social media, athletics and ASB, development and implementation of a principal training program, and overseeing special education.

  • Principal at Victor Elementary School District

    Principal of Brentwood School of Business and Leadership. Supported and lead staff in becoming a Covey Lighthouse School and the first ever Jr. Chamber of Commerce partnership. Worked with team to achieve an API of 790 and 73% drop in student suspensions. (4 years) Principal of Academy School of Performing Arts and Irwin Elementary. Worked with staff to build a transition plan and lead Irwin staff to largest API gain in six years. (1 year)

    I worked as a 1st grade-6th grade teacher. Member of school leadership team, grade level lead, discipline committee, co-wrote district careers curriculum, and teacher in charge.
